Recently in Illinois, the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva offered Caregiver’s Night Out. The event provided facials and a variety of other services to those assigned the often difficult task of attending to an individual with a serious illness.

During the event, caregivers received massages and mini-facials while they networked and chatted with other caregivers. According to participants, facials and other pampering energize them so they are capable of caring for their loved ones to the best of their abilities. In addition, the treatments allow the caregivers to be a bit more optimistic which helps the patients.
