Laser hair removal is becoming a popular option for teen girls who are facing socially devastating issues. According to Dr. Ramon Solhkah, director of the Child and Family Institue at St. Luke’s Hospital, these procedures are safe and acceptable for teens. He did caution that the procedure need not to be masking another issue.
The results are not immediate as the procedure takes several sessions. It nationally averages around $430 per session. Doctors say that the patient must have an established pattern of hair growth and be of a certain level of maturity.
