Rio de Janeiro has a new clinic for the poor to attend. Unlike clinics offering low-cost vaccinations or free physicals, this one offers free cosmetic surgery. The clinic is sponsored by a research company and provides minimally invasive procedures to the poor. It is an outgrowth of another free clinic run by on of the 20th century’s most prominent plastic surgeons.

The clinic is open to people who can prove that they make the equivalent of less than $230 a month. If an individual can prove that, he or she can then be selected by number to have a consultation performed and have their minor plastic surgery dreams come true.

The free procedures offered include mostly cosmetic dermotology options like Botox and laser hair removal. There is a different clinic that provides the more in-depth procedures like liposuction, face lifts, and breast augmentations.
