The current economic crisis has hit many segments of the economy and many businesses very hard. While luxury consumption has fallen dramatically for very expensive thing like expensive cars, breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and more, Botox injections have remained relatively unaffected. In a Wall Street Journal survey, about 75% of responding doctors have said that demand for non-invasive operations, such as wrinkle-fighting treatments including but not limited to Botox, has remained steady or even increased somewhat. This may be because such operations only cost several hundred dollars.
Despite what doctors have said, though, Allergan, the company that created and owns Botox, still has changed its financial reports to take into account the weak economy and to show reduced demand for Botox.
One of the reasons that Botox has not taken as a large of a hit in demand is because it is relatively inexpensive. For more information on Botox (and other beauty treatments), call Dr. H. Kim Vo at 713-662-3376 or visit my website.
