Botox for Migraines

January 14th, 2009 · No Comments

Currently, the Headache Care Center is researching Botox for migraine relief. This may work to get rid of migraines through the same process through which Botox is administered.

There are chemical signals that are sent to the brain during a migraine that cause pain. However, Botox may be able to paralyze these signals and keep the migraine at bay.

This still needs to be approved by the FDA before it can be used for migraines. If you are interested in Botox, contact the Houston medical spa, Dermagenix at 713-662-3376.
