In January at a medical conference, the company, BioForm Medical Inc., which owns the rights to RADESSE, has stated that they have shipped over one million units since starting in 2002. These units of Radiesse were shipped to over 10,000 medical treatment providers around the world.

Radiesse has been around several years for use in European markets which made it gain a lot of attention. In 2006 it was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in the U.S. markets. Radiesse is an injectable gel used to smooth skin folds and wrinkles. The Radiesse treatment has been shown to last from 12-18 months but results will vary for each individual.
