A team of researchers from the University of Michigan are testing a new treatment that may help protect and revitalize sun damaged skin. The study included around 25 participants between the ages of 54-83.
The study tested the use of a topical cream and laser treatment to restore the skin. Laser treatment is already being used to help collagen growth. The new treatment which will add a topical cream has been found to increase the production of collagen growth. The process is still undergoing testing and research, but it may offer new and better treatments for sun damaged skin in the future.
