A possible rival to Botox is a new type of botulinum toxin called Reloxin.  The new treatment has shown great potential in the ability to treat forehead wrinkles.  Noticeable effects have been reported to occur within the first 24 hours.  Further,  some of the effects of the treatment can last for as long as a year.

Reloxin is approved in many countries across the world, and has been in use for more than 15 years.  The FDA will be ruling , possibly around April of this year,  if Reloxin is permitted to be used in treatments in the United States.  It is likely to pass since it has had success already worldwide  without serious problems.  Reloxin could go head to head with Botox.
