Surgical cosmetic procedures are down around 10% nationwide from 2008 levels according to a recent report.  However,  Botox procedures have gone up nationwide.

One of the interesting statistics among the increased use of Botox procedures is that Hispanics have had a large jump in getting these procedures.  The reports state that over the last year,  Hispanics have had an 18% increase in getting the procedure.

It is believed that  cultural and religious views might have slowed down the procedure for Hispanics.  The economy slowing down might be one of the major reasons for the increase.
